Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a survival horror game developed by Scott Cawthon. It is the second installment in the FNaF series and serves as a prequel to the first game. Set in a family-friendly pizza restaurant called "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza," players take on the role of a night security guard tasked with watching over the building from midnight to 6 a.m.
Unlike the original game,
fnaf 2 features a new cast of animatronic characters, along with the original ones, making the gameplay more intense and challenging. The security guard must monitor surveillance cameras to track the animatronics' movements, use a Freddy Fazbear mask to avoid detection, and keep a music box wound up to prevent a certain character from attacking.
The game introduces new mechanics, such as the absence of doors for protection, a flashlight with limited battery, and more aggressive AI behavior. Each night becomes progressively harder, increasing the tension and horror as the player tries to survive five (and more) terrifying nights.
FNaF 2 is praised for its suspenseful atmosphere, innovative gameplay mechanics, and deep lore that expands the mysterious backstory of the FNaF universe.
