Two Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security on your Outlook Mail. It is basically a security system that requires identification from two different ways out of which one is the password of your mail and other is the text code sent to your secondary mail or your Phone number.
Microsoft Outlook introduced the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) system in 2013. If you want to enable the two-factor authentication for your Outlook login account, follow these steps:
Log into your Outlook Mail account using your credentials.
One the upper-right corner, click on your Profile photo and select “My Microsoft account”.
On the left-hand side select “Security” beneath the Devices option.
Click on “Get Started” on “Advance Security Options”.
Now, scroll down and click on the “Turn on” option available in “Two-step verification” block beneath the “Additional Security” block.
Read the instructions carefully, and click on the Next button.
